About
Our Story
So here's the story: nu Foundation came to life in 2022 when my partner, Adam Evers, and I connected through the LGBTQIA Christian dating app called believr. We shared a burning desire to create something special—an inclusive, Jesus-loving, and educational platform where people could find affirming churches, access valuable resources, and experience true community. Despite facing obstacles like limited funding, lack of visibility, and little support from mainstream Christian platforms, we pushed forward with unwavering determination. We launched nu.communities, leveraging the awesome Church Clarity data, and expanded our reach with QVault, a growing media library designed to inspire church leaders and everyday folks in the progressive Christian movement. Here's the cool part: our entire organization is powered by an incredible team of volunteers. With both Adam and I working full-time jobs, we rely on these dedicated individuals to keep things running smoothly. Their commitment and passion, along with the uplifting support we receive on social media, keep us going as we meet with partners, build momentum, and grow our mission. What sets nu Foundation apart is our commitment to curating unique church data and highlighting levels of inclusion. We've even partnered with Launchpad to amplify our impact. Our goal is to collaborate with denominations and non-denominational faith groups, creating extensive networks, hosting events, and providing valuable resources on a national and global scale. We're on a mission to revolutionize the progressive Christian scene! As the driving forces behind nu Foundation, Adam and I are unwavering in our dedication to creating inclusive, anti-racist, Jesus-loving, and social justice-oriented communities. We envision a world where loving communities reign and religious trauma is dismantled, one data point at a time. Join us on this incredible journey of restoration and transformation. Together, we can make a difference.
